From local to global: Where change meets opportunity at DiXiO

 The DiXiOffice - William

Indonesia, July 08, 2026For William Bostan, a Senior IT Security Auditor, working across time zones isn't the exception; it's part of the rhythm of every day.

Based in Indonesia (UTC+7), his mornings often begin with planning, client follow-ups, and preparing for the day ahead. By the afternoon, meetings with colleagues and customers around the world take over, and occasionally, his evenings extend to discussions with teams in Europe or the United States. It's a schedule that reflects the truly international nature of DiXiO.

But beyond the different time zones and virtual meetings lies an important mission: helping ensure that financial institutions remain secure.

As part of DiXiO's Risk Management team, William works as a Senior IT Security Auditor and Swift CSP Assessor. In simple terms, his role is to ensure that clients using Swift, whether through DiXiO's Smart Messaging Platform (SMP) or other environments, have implemented the appropriate security measures to protect their systems and data.

"Our job is to ensure that our clients are secure and that the security controls implemented in their environment are aligned with Swift standards," he explains.

His work involves conducting assessments and audits, reviewing clients' security controls, and helping organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture. He works closely with customers to understand their environments, assess their compliance with Swift's security requirements, and provide guidance to help them strengthen their defenses. Internally, he also contributes to DiXiO's own compliance efforts by supporting internal audits and participating in the company's ISO 27001 certification activities.

It's a role that requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and, above all, trust.

From Local Experience to Global Exposure

William joined DiXiO in January 2026, drawn by one of the company's defining characteristics: its international reach.

While his previous role gave him valuable experience working with clients across Asia, joining DiXiO opened the door to a truly global environment. Today, he collaborates with colleagues and clients across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, gaining exposure to different cultures, communication styles, ways of working, and a wide variety of Swift architectures.

For William, this broader international perspective was exactly the challenge he was looking for. It also marked the beginning of a new chapter, one defined by change, adaptation, and continuous growth.

Although he was already familiar with remote work, operating in such a diverse global environment required a new level of flexibility. Navigating multiple time zones, adapting to different cultural expectations, and collaborating across continents pushed him beyond his comfort zone. Yet rather than viewing these challenges as obstacles, he embraced them as opportunities to learn and grow.

As he puts it, it has been "a challenging but rewarding opportunity to bring me to the next level."

Today, William credits this experience with strengthening his independence, sharpening his decision-making skills, and expanding both his professional expertise and global perspective.

Independence, Trust and Flexibility

According to William, DiXiO empowers its experts to take ownership of their work, encourages responsibility, and creates an environment where transparency and collaboration go hand in hand. This combination has helped him feel both challenged and supported throughout his first months with the company.

Even in a fully remote setting, maintaining strong connections remains essential. His philosophy is simple: "Be Responsible, Trustworthy and Reachable."

Whether it's staying available during working hours, communicating clearly with colleagues and clients, or ensuring everyone knows when he's unavailable, he believes that trust and accountability are the foundations of effective remote collaboration.

Looking Ahead

As he looks to the future, William is eager to continue developing as a Swift assessor, gaining even more exposure, knowledge, and experience while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

And for anyone considering joining DiXiO, his advice is straightforward:

"If you want to become a better professional with international standards, but still be in a warm and family-like environment, flexible, supportive, and healthy, DiXiO is the right place for you."

For William, growth isn't only about developing expertise in cybersecurity and risk management. It's also about learning from people around the world, embracing new challenges, and continuously evolving in an environment built on trust, collaboration, and international perspectives.

And if his first six months at DiXiO are any indication, this global journey is only just beginning.
